Medical Records Coordinator for Beverly Hills law firm:
Based in Beverly Hills, BD&J is the leading personal injury law firm seeking experienced, quality team members. Having recovered over $1 billion for our clients, we pride ourselves with experience our clients can trust.
We are looking for a full-time experienced Medical Records Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
· Intake of client information and review of client files to determine if medical treatment was received including type of treatment, location and duration of treatment.
· Follow up and obtain relevant documents and information related to treatment.
· Interact as necessary with clients, health care providers, medical facilities etc. to request records of treatment such as client’s health information, medical history, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods and other services from a variety of medical facilities.
· Maintain and organize exhibits, documents and medical records chronologically in a presentable manner.
Skills & Requirements:
· 2 years of experience working in a medical front office, at a medical insurance carrier or similar environment.
· Knowledge in medical terminology and experience with HIPPA law.
· Knowledge of medical coding or billing a plus.
· Knowledge of litigation paralegal procedures and practices a plus.
· Bilingual Spanish a plus.
