Position Overview The Client Manager is focused on managing our key Stop Loss insurance clients in all facets, including day-to-day interaction and support with brokers and clients, client renewal and retention, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling voluntary benefits business. The Client Manager will manage our large Stop Loss insurance accounts (over $1M in premium) with a focus on client satisfaction, issue resolution, and business retention. The Client Manager will communicate regularly and proactively with clients and brokers, ensure that questions are addressed, escalate any operational issues to the appropriate internal colleagues for resolution, and strive to retain clients via policy renewal sales efforts and working closely with Underwriting to provide competitive renewal offers. This role will also partner with and support our New Business Sales Directors on business growth efforts through broker and Blue Plan service and taking the lead on large Stop Loss accounts once sold. The Client Manager will develop into a Stop Loss insurance Subject Matter Expert and be able to converse fluently with brokers and consultants about all aspects of stop loss insurance. This role will also look to leverage key broker and BCBS plan relationships for cross-selling our EssentialCare suite of products (Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness). The position will develop into a product expert on the EsssentialCare products we sell and act as an internal reference lead to our team. This position will report to the Director, Large Claims Business Development. This position is Hybrid and will be required to come into the office 2x per week if local. Essential Elements
