BCI Sensors is Hiring a Logistician, Entry (NJ) Near Moorestown, NJ

BCI is seeking to fill one (1) or more full-time Logistician, Entry positions to be involved with US Navy surface ship or submarine logistics. The job locations may be in Philadelphia, PA, or Moorestown, NJ, in support of Philadelphia Division, Naval Sea Systems Command, Philadelphia (NSWC PD).

Job Location: Moorestown, NJ

Job Start Date: Spring/ Summer 2024

Shift: Days - 8 hours flexible to 40 hours per week

Experience Required:

Individuals need to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, trade school diploma or industrial school diploma. Preference is for at least one (1) year of experience of the Naval Logistics System that includes experience in identifying material and logistic requirements for ship alteration and repair, the Navy supply systems and procedures; researching types and quantities of equipment allowed aboard ship. Graduation from a military technical school and associated shipboard experience which has provided an in-depth knowledge of shipboard systems maintenance and operation/supply support is preferred.

Description of Duties:

Provide entry-level engineering, technical, and logistics support in support of fleet maintenance philosophies to identify and resolve material condition discrepancies; resolve obsolescence issues and logistics discrepancies; resolve high visibility parts availability and long lead time material issues; provide Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) tracking support and provide support for the update and maintenance of configuration data for upload to the Weapons System File. These services are required in support of the construction, overhaul, modernization, and repair of shipboard hull, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as life- cycle maintenance of other U.S. Navy systems and associated life-cycle logistics support documentation. The successful candidate will develop, review, update, and maintain complete supply support documentation; and shall be responsible for analyzing various forms of Technical Data Packages (TDP) / Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), maintenance plans, engineering drawings, reliability data, level of repair, and scheduled maintenance data in support of the supply support / provisioning process preference. The person will identify spare parts (e.g. OBRP, INCO and Depot) requirements, perform inventory management and determine lead times.
