BCI Engineering is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Leetsdale, PA

Industrial Mechanical Technician $27-$30

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, replace, and repair machines, pumps, motors, valves, pulleys, belts, solenoids, seals.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Operate equipment in conjunction with repairs to maintain continuous functioning of line operations using skills such as: align shafts, cut keyways, light welding, and manual machining.
  • Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.
  • Set-up, operate, basic machining equipment such as vertical mill, lathe, band saw, drill, etc.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Installing new production equipment.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Able to weld and use cutting torches/plasma cutter.
  • A valid driver’s license is required to operate mobile equipment, forklifts, overhead 40-ton cranes/rigging.
  • Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited school
  • 3 years’ experience in or have completed coursework in print reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/burning, pipefitting, rigging, and crane repair among others. Ability to troubleshoot/repair industrial electrical systems a plus.
  • At least 18 years of age, be willing to work at heights, work in extreme heat and cold, must be willing to work a rotating shift that may include weekends and holidays as well as, climb and or walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Demonstrated excellent troubleshooting skills and time management skills.
  • Previous experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office tools for data entry, generating emails, and reporting of daily issues.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull at least 50lbs; maneuver in tight spaces, and manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems.

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and be willing to work in a self-directed team environment with minimal supervision and direction
  • Excellent work attendance record, be willing to report to work as scheduled, flexibility to work overtime as needed or directed
  • Associate Degree or a certified training or apprenticeship program

Willingness to work in a variety of different indoor and outdoor environments including very hot, cold, and/or noisy surroundings and at heights and catwalks including see-through metal gratings. Work environments include exposure to different types of industrial working conditions. Successful candidates will use computers for Microsoft Office and other packaged software applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
