What we're looking for:
Nexamp is looking to hire a Sourcing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Sourcing Project Manager regional project teams. You will be accountable for managing the material PO execution within the overall projects, OTD, first article certification, and transfer of materials to the project sites. You will also be working on sustaining end-of-life project material changes that will impact costs. This is a hybrid role out of our Chicago office and reports to the Sourcing Project Manager.
What you'll do:
Key participant in regional project portfolio execution, ensuring that program deliverables are met by timely delivery of material.
Utilize the Approved vendor list (AVL) as the source of suppliers to be used for quotations.
Analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) tools and reconciling with approved ROMs.
Negotiate equipment costs and project timeline deliverables with the supplier.
Manage tactical purchasing activities such as expediting material, orders, past due POs, open POs, PO confirmations, receiving/purchasing related issues, IFM accounting/purchasing related issues, etc.
Update and maintain standard costs until PO execution per project.
Understanding of technical functionality of equipment and accessory equipment.
Conduct and facilitate technical design reviews with suppliers, to confirm functionality of the part/component and manufacturability.
Assist the Category Managers with the sourcing of new suppliers for new or existing products and update the COE war room data including, but not limited to:
Onboarding new suppliers
Current project equipment costs
Present COE cost-saving initiatives
What you'll bring:
2 years experience in supplier quality/management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous purchasing experience.
Strong project management skills.
ERP knowledge and experience e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.

Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
