BCA Hotels is Hiring a Hotel General Manager - GLo by Best Western Near Asheville, NC

BCA Hotels is offering a great opportunity to join a growing hotel company as the General Manager for the GLo by Best Western Asheville. We are highly interested in those candidates with hotel management experience. Property is located 2 miles from Dazzling Downtown Asheville and 3 miles from the Majestic Biltmore Estates. GLo is an exciting NEW ENERGETIC BRAND and we are looking for the right GENERAL MANAGER to operate this beautiful hotel.

This role is suited for a strong operator with a positive and collaborative mindset. We rely on the GM to ensure superior service, provide continuous staff development, elevate product quality, and drive hotel performance, thus maximizing profits. BCA General Managers demonstrate and promote 100% commitment to providing superlative experiences for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is an impact player and energetic relationship builder. They drive results by shaping talent, enhancing team and operational performances, all while strengthening collaboration to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded.

The responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the hotel with an emphasis on sales, financial management, development and training of employees and quality assurance.
  • Delivers results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction and effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Maintains a quality product.
  • Ensures exceptional guest/employee relations.
  • Maximizes room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts; develops and monitors strategic marketing prospects; develops, implements and monitors annual business and marketing plans and participates in appropriate national marketing efforts.
  • Develops and maintains rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community.
  • Oversees the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
  • Maintains a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with policies and procedures and labor regulations.
  • Monitors the performance of financial and operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the corporation.
  • Develops the annual budget and makes recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Select-Service General Manager with a major hotel brand
  • Local area market experience a plus!
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills. Strong computer skills a must. Detail oriented.
  • Must have a "can-do" attitude.
  • Able to exceed the expectations of our guests and our team members.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be decisive. Educated facilitator experienced in resolving conflicts.
