The Pool Greeter at The St Anthony, A Luxury Collection Hotel is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and welcoming of all guests to the pool area. The Pool Greeter assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their stay at the Pool. He/she is also responsible for assisting hotel guests upon arrival, including both hotel overnight and non-overnight guests.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical requirements:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Work environment: 

• Outdoors, cement surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

Fundamental Requirements:

• Associates must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.
• Greet and confirm reservation for guests in a timely manner.
• Explain to guest the use of the wristbands
• Check bags to make sure guests are not bringing in outside alcohol, food, glass containers, Yeti cups, and other items not allowed on the pool deck.
• Be attentive of guests’ needs assist in providing a pleasant experience.
• Know how to properly check in hotel guest and ResortPass guests.
• Ensure quality control of pool area with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklist.
• Ability to answer the telephone according to standards.
• Assist servers and bartenders in the servicing of guests as needed.
• Know and understand the state liquor laws and food handlers.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the cleanliness and physical appearance of the pool area and VIP Lounge
• Remove and replace dirty towels, service trays and glasses.
• Clean all pool areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations
• Remove soiled terry and trash from the pool areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner and retrieve clean items.
• Stock pool linen and supply to ensure par inventories
• Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the supervisor and/or security.
• Respond to guest’s requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Straighten and organize lounge chairs at the pool area.
