• Will be responsible for the daily/weekly up-keep of all facility grounds which will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Mowing, edging and weeding of all facility lawns.
  • Trimming and/or shaping of all shrubs, bushes, and designated trees.
  • Maintain properly groomed flower beds, planter boxes and curb edgings.
  • Planting and/or extraction of all plant materials as needed.
• Will be responsible for the proper care and feeding of all plants, as well as maintaining all watering schedules.
• Will be responsible for the storage, use, and up-keep of all landscaping tools and equipment and maintain an inventory thereof.
• Will be responsible for the hands-on completion of assigned tasks and will assist other workers when needed to achieve their goal.
• Will assist in the formation and utilization of work crews as required.
• Will assist in establishing safety perimeters surrounding the work site and the handling of landscaping tools and will monitor any work crew in the observance of these rules.
• Will assist the properties manager with any tasks assigned as time permits.
• Will assist the properties supervisor in designing diagrams, grafts, and specifications describing specific construction or landscaping jobs, costs and equipment needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have leadership ability and be able to command attention and respect while working well with other people by using tact and by being sensitive to the needs of others.
• Must be willing to take the time to help co-workers and clients to achieve their goals and assigned tasks, when needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to express self clearly and effectively when talking with individuals or groups.
• Must set above average personal and professional standards of performance and appearance.
• Must have an understanding of the nature of substance abuse and its respective treatment and recovery, and be free of alcohol and/or drugs on a daily basis.
• If a recovering addict, must have reasonable amount of sobriety. Determination to be made by the Executive Director.
