Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic Machine Shop team. The CNC Programmer is a key contributor, bringing years of expertise to the creation of work instructions and machine programs based on customer drawings and CAD files. This role involves close collaboration with machine operators and the Manufacturing Manager to ensure that parts are produced accurately, precisely, and efficiently, consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs using MasterCAM software for both mills and lathes.
  • Operate and program CNC mills and lathes, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
  • Utilize manual equipment and measurement tools (mics, gauges, calipers) to verify product specifications.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T to ensure products meet stringent tolerancing requirements.
  • Create work instructions and machine programs from customer-supplied drawings and CAD files, particularly using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborate closely with machine operators and the Manufacturing Manager to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Support additional activities within the Machine Shop as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MasterCAM software.
  • Extensive experience in CNC mill and lathe operation and programming.
  • Skilled in the use of manual equipment and precision measurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Competence in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
