Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is expanding its workforce! We are searching for a proficient Superintendent to join our growing construction business line. This role entails scheduling, subcontractor management, communication with the client and building occupants, safety and occupational health management, monitoring, assessments, safety site orientation, activity-specific education, and assurance of compliance.This role is located in Tacoma, WA.The Superintendent will provide direct task order management and is responsible for:Direct task order management Oversight of the day-to-day operationsDaily coordination of definable features of workScheduling and supervision of in-house workforce and subcontractorsOn-site review and enforcement of contract complianceReview of documents for contract requirementsSequencing of work for efficiency and maximize coordination between tradesChecking and review of submittals for accuracy and completenessAssist with conducting safety inspections & Tool Box TalksEnforcement of QC & safety measuresPreparation of Daily Project ReportsMaintenance and accounting of project equipment, materials & suppliesAccess and security for work sites, including control of keys and locksQualificationsMore than five years of general experience in construction management for medical facilities relevant to the complexities of this task order, including projects involving mechanical and electrical repair and replacementCurrent ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (or Certified Healthcare Constructor)As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results. Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
