Reports to: Deputy Manager

Full/Part Time Status: Full-Time

Work Location: Nationwide

**Education/Experience Requirements**

Minimum Education Level: Bachelors Degree

**Responsibilities & Duties**

All duties and responsibilities of a Special Assets Officer II

Manage, train and supervise a team of SAOs with their assigned portfolio of loans/accounts in their day to day activities

Give Guidance, Strategy, Review and Approve Credit Memorandums. Attend and present for approval to management.

Conduct periodic department training pertaining to certain aspects within the scope of Special Assets and attend internal/external trainings and conferences

Review and accept file transfers, conduct initial assessments and assign to SAOs within team

Review and approve timecard prior to approval by Deputy Manager

Report to Deputy Manager on status and progress of files and recommend strategies/actions plans and adjust as needed.

Create matters, Review and Approve Banks outside legal invoices through Serengeti

Timely respond to Auditors and Examiners in their audit of SAD loans

Work together with SAD Admin and SAD Loan Assistant and observe procedures and processes for efficiency

Attend BK/Civil Court hearings, be a reliable deponent, testify as witness, and effectively negotiate in mediations

Review and approve Quarterly Loan Status Reports and attend Loan Status Meetings

Give guidance to lending units on an as needed basis in respect to problem loans being serviced by the lending unit and potential loan transfers to SAD

**Job Qualifications/Requirements**

Required: Bachelors degree

Required: 7 Years of experience in Special Assets

Required: Detailed knowledge of banking regulations and laws, extensive knowledge in collection laws, civil litigation, foreclosure and bankruptcy laws, as well as, compliance documentation, and reporting requirements.

Required: Extensive experiences and knowledge in loan workout and documentation, litigation, foreclosure, disposition of assets both personal and real wherever located.

Required: Excellent oral/written communication skills as well as analytical skills to identify problems and plan a course of action

Required: Advanced understanding of cashflows; ability to comprehend and interpret legal concepts

Required: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Required: Ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior and follow the Code of Conduct.

Required: Organizational ability with good supervisory skills.

Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.

Required: Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.

Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Required: Able to comply with the Banks established loan policies and procedures

Required: Comply with all guidelines, procedures and eligibility requirements

Required: Comply with regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act- Anti Money Laundering, OFAC, US Patriot Act, Privacy Act and Community Reinvestment Act

Required: Ability to manage a team of officers and set priorities and delegate duties to meet deadlines

Required: Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental and external representatives.
