Job Description: Performs non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures and completes preliminary interpretations. Assists physicians to determine appropriate testing based on clinical symptoms and provides verbal reporting of critical abnormalities. Applicant must be able to travel between our offices in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
Qualified Applicant will be able to:
· Perform all general vascular ultrasound exams
· Demonstrate proficient understanding of vascular anatomy
· Perform color Doppler
· Perform pulse wave Doppler
· Perform Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) exams
· Demonstrate working knowledge of all diagnostic ultrasound equipment and related components
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors, providers and patients
· Work independently
Required Education:
· Associates or Bachelors degree in Ultrasound Technology with Vascular or Ultrasound/Vascular Technology required.
· In lieu of degree:
o Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
o Minimum 12 months experience in Vascular Ultrasound with the performance of at least 600 non-invasive vascular examinations.
· Obtain ARDMS within 2 years of hire
