Tree Health Care Technician

We are seeking a Tree Health Care Technician to join our team and assist in our Tree Health Care department in delivering various tree health care treatments, while providing the highest performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service!

Job Duties

As a tree health care technician, you'll be responsible for providing care to our trees through various treatments using spray and injection tools. Your duties will include pest and disease control measures, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with season-specific arboricultural tasks. Responsibilities:

• Obtain a Pesticide Applicator License in a timely manner
• Perform all functions of the integrated pest management program, including administration, scheduling, inspections, sampling, treatments, inventories, equipment maintenances, record keeping, report writing, project data collection, and customer relations
• Monitor, diagnose, and treat insect, disease, and culture conditions of trees
• Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment
• Obtain LA Arborist License in a timely manner
• Execute Buck Moth Caterpillar spray program for 3-4 weeks in early Spring

Qualifications:

• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or a related Plant Science, Landscape Management, or a related field or prior experience working in the tree care or landscaping industry is preferred.
• Understanding of species-specific insects, disease, and cultural tending practices.
• Ability to perform manual labor and work in all weather conditions and seasons.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record
• Pass a physical and drug test
