This position is in Precision Genomics? St. Louis Production Genotyping lab. The candidate will be working collaboratively with a large production team of FTE?s and contractors to help support and maintain lab automation. The candidate will primarily be responsible for organizing technical documentation and operational procedures, performing audits on equipment locations and parts inventory as required for business operations. You will provide diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of laboratory automation. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify lab automation or systems and electronic, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems, which support various laboratories. Key competencies include strong mechanical aptitude, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

This role is open for the following shift:

Monday- Friday Day Shift (approx. 9am-6pm)

Role is 100% on-site (no hybrid or work from home model)

*Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Desired skills for the ideal candidate:

1. Demonstrate reliability: This is a business-critical position to keep our lab running 7 days a week across multiple shifts. The candidate must be a reliable presence on this shift. Position may require flexible or off shift hours during peak times.

2. High Throughput/production/inventory management: Our lab processes 2 million samples per year with fast turn-around times. Prefer experience reading machine schematics, computer interfacing for system set-up and troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance systems to complete work orders as necessary. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

3. Automation/mechanical aptitude: The candidate must be comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently with little guidance on this shift. Engineers with electrical/technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.
