Data Analyst (Mid)
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Work as a member of the Data Science and Engineering team in Bayer Crop Science Biologics Organization
Focus on the Biologics data management and ensure Bayer data governance best practices are implemented to manage data domain, data integration, data quality, and data access
Create processes and metrics to ensure and validate data accuracy and consistency across different data systems
Automatically manage and consolidate data from various data sources and systems to enterprise data systems
Perform data wrangling and data mining to extract key insights from various data sources for decision making and recommendations
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve broader project goals
Qualification & Competencies
Master Degree in Microbiology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or life science and agricultural related quantitative disciplines
Experience with Google Big Query, AWS databases, Oracle SQL, mySQL, PostgreSQL, and other data technologies
Fully proficiency with Python, R, SQL, Linux and shell programming, AWS, Azure and GCP with 3 years' experience
3 years? experience in building automated data pipeline to support enterprise data management, data integration, data quality monitoring and data analytics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills on data management and analytics to both technical and non-technical personnel
Preferred skills/Experience
Knowledge in all aspects of Microbiology, Microbial Genomics, field testing, soil and weather data
Experience in unstructured data management and analytics techniques
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal technical supervision
Experience in developing interactive data visualization and application tool
