BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare’s top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for:

• Coordinates all surgery, testing, pre-ops for new and established patients
• Supports Medical Office Rep activities
• Greets and signs in patients
• Obtains patient information sheets
• Schedules patient appointments
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Mentors and trains new team members
• Works back office as needed
• Copies medical records
• Perform other duties as assigned

Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, hours may vary

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

• Required 1 year Business Related
• Or 1 year Healthcare

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: None
