We are currently looking for our newest Registered Respiratory Therapist to work at Mease Countryside Hospital. Since 1985, Mease Countryside Hospital has been raising the standard of care for patients of all ages. Today, our 311-bed facility offers an unwavering commitment to the community.
Job Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist II is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
- Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
- Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.
Certification and Licensures Required:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
- Active NBRC Credential for RRT
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
- ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months of start date
- PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date
Education Required:
- Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree
- Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy
Experience Required:
- 6 months minimum
