Position Description: RN – Stat Nurse

BayCare Health System’s newest hospital, BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, an 86-bed state of the art hospital that opened in early 2023 is currently seeking a Registered Nurse – Stat RN with experience in an ICU to join our outstanding and compassionate Nursing Administration team.

The Stat RN is a fast paced position that will respond to emergency codes house-wide and may be providing care for a patient during the immediate period afterwards, assist all clinical departments when busy, and help to precept/guide the team.

The RN responsibilities include:

• • Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Professional accountability and development.
  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

  Qualifications:

  Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
  • ACLS Certification, if required by department
  • Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

  Education:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

  Experience:

  • 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required.
  • 1 year of RN experience in ICU

Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
