Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

This Cardiac Surgical unit is a step-down unit that takes care of post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from the CVICU.

The RN responsibilities include:

• • Caring for a group of patients with minimum supervision applying the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Professional accountability and seeking opportunities to develop.

  Qualifications:

  Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
  • ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification are preferred.

  Education:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

  Experience:

  • 6 months of RN experience in acute care or 3 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required.

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Shift: Shift 3

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
