BayCare is Hiring a Patient Financial Solutions Project Coordinator Near Oldsmar, FL

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Financial Solutions (PFS) Project Coordinator facilitates, advises, and provides support to the revenue cycle teams in regard to project requests. Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant registration, scheduling, documentation, billing, authorization, and reimbursement. Monitors and troubleshoots Cerner/Sorian work queue functionality, opens and tracks necessary Helpdesk tickets, and collaborates with the appropriate areas to investigate and resolve system issues.
  • Assists department leadership with distribution of workload to include backlogs, special projects, evaluation of ad-hoc reports, and new process improvement opportunities. Identifies and discusses various revenue cycle issues and provides recommendations on educational and trending opportunities to area managers, training team, front-end users, back-end users, and others as appropriate for improving department efficiencies, work flows, compliance and reimbursement. Follows established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines for ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT as well as payor guidelines, legislation, and regulations. Assures appropriate tracking and follow-up on assigned tasks. Assures appropriate and timely documentation of all account activity.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the entire Revenue Cycle process which includes Appointment Scheduling, Insurance Verification, Charge Capture, Claim Submission, Adjudication, Authorization, Admitting, Registration, Payment Posting, Denial Management, Claim Appeals, Adjustments/Write-Offs, Credit Balances/Refunds, Patient Responsibility, Collections, Cash Posting, New Account Creation, KPI Reporting, Patient Estimates, Pre-Registration calls to the patient, and Customer Service calls using call flow software, Outreach Lab Registration and Coding process.
  • Facilitates, advises, and provides support to the revenue cycle teams in regard to project requests. AAHAM/NAHAM Certification is Required within 1 year.
