Position Description: Patient Care Technician

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• 6 months – Acute Care Experience
• 1 year – Skilled Nursing Facility (Florida CNA)
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN Program
• Florida Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA) without clinical hands-on patient care experience – BayCare PCT Bootcamp required during first week of employment.

Required Certification:

• BLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network)

Preferred:

• 1 year - Hospital in related field
• EMT certification / Paramedic license

The Patient Care Technician –responsibilities and skills:

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN
