BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Technician Prime Pool to join our outstanding and compassionate team!

The Mental Health Technician Prime Pool position is responsible for:

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and well-being.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Assists with physical care under the direction of a RN.
• Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
• Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent - required OR
• Associate's in a related field - Preferred

Experience:

• 6 months Healthcare Preferred
