Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator - Medical Assistant will oversee daily clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Site Manager and physicians with the successful operations of the clinical staff, procedures and treatment
• Support the physician's office health care team
• Answer phones
• Screen patient's chart prior to appointment
• Interview patients and prepare them for examinations and other procedures
• Assist the physician during the exam
• Administer injections
• Perform any necessary lab work or testing
• Follow up on test orders and reports results to the physician and patient
• Provides patient education
• Maintain medical equipment and take inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned

Certification/Licenses:

• Required RMA (Registered Medical Assistant, CMA (Medical Assistant), EMT or NREMT (Nationally Recognized Emergency Medical Technician), or Paramedic

Experience:

• Required Experience includes 6 years Medical Assistant
• Required Experience must include 1 year in BayCare Medical Group or BayCare Urgent Care Medical Assistant
