BayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Lab Medical Assistant II who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at St. Anthony's Hospital. St. Anthony's has a long tradition of providing a wide range of exceptional health care services to our community - more than 85 years of advancing superior health care.
Position Details:

• Facility: St. Anthony's Hospital
• Location: St. Petersburg, FL
• Status: PRN, hourly
• Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

Responsibilities:
The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for:

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory or related field experience is required

Education:

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials:

• Driver's License
