Job Description
Job Title: Mental Health Counselor (Multiple positions available) Department: Housing Stability and Community Counseling
Reports To: Program Manager
Location: Denver Metro Area
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $27 - 31 per hour
Schedule: Dependent upon position. 40 hours per week, Full-Time / Hours flexible, Part-time

SUMMARYThis position provides voluntary mental healthcare to current Bayaud participants and/or Denver residents. This includes assessment/consultation, therapy, psychoeducation groups, therapeutic groups, and referrals. Services may be provided on a walk-in, call-in or appointment basis. Mental health services will be delivered to participants during business hours, in-person at Bayaud-defined locations, and/or via telehealth (HIPAA- compliant phone or video).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS$27 - 31 per hour
This position may supervise department interns as appropriate. This position will actively participate in team meetings to offer training and guidance to non-clinical staff.

OTHER
Equipment Used: PC, telephone, copy machine, fax, calculator.
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required along with a minimum of 1 year direct experience serving vulnerable populations and facilitating groups.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with individuals and before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands.
