JOB SUMMARY

The Form Setter Paver & Concrete will be responsible for building and setting forms for retaining walls, overhang pipe, bridges, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for forming, bracing, and securing structure forms
• Align, brace, and plum forms
• Build forms for retaining walls and overhang pipe and bridges
• Assist in setting deck panels, bridge deck pours and various concrete items
• Housekeeping, demolition, pouring concrete, and assisting carpenters in creating forms and form-setting
• Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company’s safety culture
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years’ experience in highway, bridge, sewer, and road construction

• • Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information
  • Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments – results oriented
  • Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work non-routine hours, when necessary

• Ability and willingness to travel as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Ability to operate job related tools
• Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help
• Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
