Your position as the Medical Appointment Specialist supports the mission of our agency and division as you willprovide direct care services to adults living in a medically intensive Bay Cove residential program.Support will be provided in a manner that promotes the development of independent andcommunity living skills and an improved quality of life.Essential Functions of Position: Exercises strong clinical judgement in observing, supporting, resourcing andcommunicating. Teaches and reinforces activities of daily living (such as medication management, hygiene,cleaning, personal property management, relationship development, budgeting, and safety). Implements and develops program activities to reinforce and develop skills which mayinclude using the teachable moment. Follows and implements all program safety procedures including crisis assessment,prevention and needed intervention. Schedules routine medical, dental, and psychiatric appointments in collaboration withresidential staff and supervisors. Provides skilled coverage while accompanying individuals to medical, dental and psychiatricappointments. Maintains programmatic documentation.Schedule: Monday through Friday 8a to 4p or 9a to 5p
