Now hiring a Case Manager Supervisor at BAY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. Required: Corrections and unit management experience specifically with FDOC

Position Summary: Directly supervises the case managers. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the case management department of the facility, as well as maintaining a case load.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise the programmatic functions of the case management staff.
• Provide assistance to the job development staff in preparing the offender for release.
• Conduct staff development training for the case managers. Also, participate in the program planning process for the offender.
• Maintain communications with all other departments and participate on the program team.
• Provide direct aid to the inmates with personal needs or problems, i.e., sickness, injury, family problems.
• Review detailed background files and conduct personal interviews and recommend a program for each assigned inmate.
• Provide continuous educational, vocational, personal and social adjustment counseling on an individual and group basis. Recommend necessary program modifications throughout each inmate’s assigned stay.
• Utilize new concepts and approaches; recommend and conduct training sessions and conferences to develop greater proficiency among staff in the areas of guidance and social adjustment.
• Recommend medical and psychiatric evaluation for emotional or psychological problems. Evaluate results and take remedial action as warranted.
• Provide staff with the necessary community resources registry that will help in transition of the inmate.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, human services and two years related experience. Minimum of one-year supervisory experience required. Valid driver’s license in the State of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
