The Position :

With flexible hours , a competitive starting salary, an excellent benefits package , paid holidays and a cohesive "family-like" work environment, a File Clerk at Bay Coast Behavioral maintain, provide quality assurance for client medical records .

You will receive, send, and request confidential information, process discharged client's files, and follow-up with staff regarding any missing files or requested documentation.

Requirements :

• Must at least 18 years old and have High School Diploma / GED
• At least 1 year of experience in an office environment
• Ability to maintain a composed demeanor and yourself professionally to clients and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills.

Job Duties :

• Process and provide quality assurance for clients' charts.
• Process discharged clients' charts.
• Check client eligibility as needed / requested.
• Process incoming / outgoing requests for information accompanied by a valid Release of Information.
• Process overflow documentation.
• Update changes to client information as requested
• File of medical records.
• Attend weekly admin meeting.
• Maintain tickler file and follow up with clinical staff regarding missing or requested documentation and provide update at admin meeting weekly
• Maintain supply inventory
• Other duties as assigned
