SUMMARY:

The Transporter is responsible and accountable for providing quality transportation of patients to aid in the continuum of care of patients and assist technologists with exams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No experience required, willing to train individual with initiative and willingness to learn.

Certification: Current CPR

Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Safety Sensitive Designation:

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift, push and pull up to 100 pounds with proper body mechanics. Spend eight hours or more transporting radiology patients to the department from their nursing unit location. Assisting technologists with exams in the department, emergency department, and patient floors. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
