Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Inpatient

$10,000 Sign On Bonus!*

SUMMARY:

In collaboration with, and under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, helps each patient develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working, through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and exercise, outlined in an established care plan.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

Experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a degree.

Licensure: Current Arkansas PTA license in good standing required.

Certifications: Current CPR certification

Other: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

Preferred Education: Associates Degree

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, focus with attention to detail, solve problems and make decisions, show compassion to those in pain/ functional loss: handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Must be able to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, push, pull and occasionally lift up to 250 pounds using proper body mechanics up to or exceeding 8 hours per day. Requires repetitive hand movements. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mousse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.

Work Environment:

Patient care setting: within a hospital environment. There is potential risk for exposure to communicable diseases and blood or other body fluids.
