Environmental Services Technician / Surgery 

SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for ensuring a safe, clean, attractive environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certificate ("CRC"). If interested in obtaining CRC register as a job seeker with the Arkansas Divsion of Workforce Services at www.ARJobLink.Arkansas.gov.

Experience: Previous experience preferred, however willing to train individual with initiative and desire to learn.

Other: Ability to understand written and oral instructions and work well with others. Entry level computer skills required.

Safety Sensitive Designation:

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully

perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the

employee is required to perform the following: Able to walk and remain in confined environment with sustained standing for extended periods during occasional lengthy surgeries. Able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, reach, grasp, and able to lift 50 pounds of more multiple times throughout shift using proper body mechanics. Able to push and/or 500 pounds multiple times throughout the shift using proper body mechanics. Must be able to respond to call with sustained performance for the shift and any call back time. Able to tolerate caps, hoods, and all personal protective equipment. Able to work with a variety of chemicals required in the care of peri-operative patients. Acuity to the five senses is required in the contact with patients, physicians, co-workers, visitors and families. Able to remain calm in stressful situations and respond quickly.

Work Environment:

Operating Room area and Central Sterile.
