Retail Sales Associate Job Responsibilities:

  • Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
  • Asks open-ended questions and responds to customers’ questions.
  • Directs customers by escorting them to merchandise suited to their needs.
  • Provides outstanding customer service.
  • Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
  • Manages financial transactions, use of cash registers.
  • Alerts management of potential security issues.
  • Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.

Sales associates are the first point of contact for customers who come in the store. Your role will include greeting, educating, and assisting customers as they explore the store. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom are vital to the role. The ideal candidate will take initiative and assist management with tasks throughout the store. There will be opportunity for growth within the company.

You will have a flexible schedule between 10-25 hours per week, and be available to pick up shifts if needed. Weekends, evenings, and holiday availability are required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Frequent walking and standing for extended periods
  • Must be able to safely climb ladders and step stools.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous retail experience desired
  • Be able to pass a Background Check

Pay based on experience.

Initial job will be seasonal/temporary with several different opportunities for advancement part-time/full-time, based on skillset.
