Responsibilities:
Serve as commercial lead for strategically identifying ideal collaboration/sponsorship opportunities and subsequently organizing all peer-to-peer activity for engagement with the optometric community at live (not necessarily only in-person) meetings. Meetings may include; local and nationally recognized meetings, appropriate optometry congresses and national association engagement
Support for key associations including, but not limited to AOA, GSLS, AAOpt, VEE, VEW, SECO, ICSC, Multiple State Association Meetings, ad-hoc meeting opportunities relevant to product/portfolio focus
Commercial lead activities including, but not limited to; contextual development, advocate speaker identification and management, awareness asset coordination.
Speaker Bureau Oversight and Management
Collaborate with Sales/Marketing leaders to define and execute speaker bureau strategy
Lead strategic content development and execution with cross functional support
Responsibility and oversight for speaker bureau budget with focus on speaker support, optimizing processes, maximizing ROI
Evaluation and management of strategic speaker support ensuring optimal representation across all business needs.
Academic Institution Lead
Develop or strengthen partnerships within academic institutions
Optimize promotional communications to the optometric student audience
Marketing Support
Collaborates with cross functional team members to develop and implement strategies in support of marketed products, launches, and development projects
Integrate and leverage extensive knowledge of the company, market and industry practices and trends to guide business and marketing strategies and drive top line growth.
Anticipates key marketplace trends, opportunities and vulnerabilities to position to organization appropriately
Pivots focus and prioritization of product and/or strategic focus based on changing business needs, market dynamics, and/or changes in product prioritization
SalesForce Liaison
Engage with field sales organization to ensure all meetings are executed in accordance with the company policy
Develop a platform to provide sales leadership with regular updates on CLE engagement
Provide salesforce with a quarterly update on activities
Sales Training Support
Manage practicing optometrist(s) involvement in sales force training, including but not limited to selection, communication, feedback.
Global Support
Work with leadership to support market analysis and development of business expansion strategy.
Collaborate with regulatory team members on material and medical device submissions.
Develop and support partnerships with international manufacturing and/or distribution sites including adapting established education programs and marketing resources.
Support the establishment of clear expectations of international teams.
Qualifications:
10 years in the eye care industry
Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance, project execution and producing outstanding results
Ability to lead strategy development and subsequent tactical execution
Significant, direct experience servicing customer needs demonstrated ability to work with multiple clients, stakeholders, and vendor/agency partners.
Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations
Clear networking and alliance building capabilities with an ability to influence and develop others, and navigate the internal processes
Ability to work in cross-functional, team-based culture
Ability to adapt to dynamic and fast paced business environment with multiple and changing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Goal oriented, self-motivated, team player.
Undergraduate degree required. Relevant experience preferred
Other Job Requirements: Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight ~40
