The Supervisor, Test Engineering is responsible for leading the test engineering team in the development, validation, and maintenance of automated and manual test processes that support Production. This person selects test equipment and applications and develops special test equipment and software as required to test Solta products in a production environment. This position is the primary contact for Production and Product Development as related to production test. This role is a people leadership role, guiding processes for the test engineering team. The Supervisor also has some technical ownership responsibilities and is a “working supervisor” role.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties: Note: The following are meant to be representative but not necessarily all inclusive of the duties and responsibilities for this position title.
  • Manages all aspects of production test development including planning, test specification, test procedure, test software development, fixture and tool development, verification and validation execution, and test implementation.
  • Has ownership of personnel decisions within the team, and works to develop, grow, and coach team members.
  • Seeks process and management improvements to constantly increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
  • Guides team members through all aspects of test engineering, including the responsibilities and duties listed below.
  • Establishes and maintains production test development roadmap.
  • Manages the definition, development, and implementation of board, module, and system level tests at Solta and suppliers.
  • Works within a cross-functional development team on the definition of new medical products.
  • Works with Product Development to optimize test solutions and for boards and end items.
  • Works with Product Development to ensure the manufacturability and testability of boards and end items during development.
  • Participates and holds technical design reviews.
  • Develops, documents, validates and maintains test fixtures and test systems for Production and Service.
  • Coordinates supplier requirements for automated testing with Product Development.
  • Defines and develops test data storage and archiving processes.
  • Performs data trending analysis and participates in root-cause failure analysis.
Experience, Education, Training, Traits:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in automated and manual manufacturing test development and support for capitalequipment.
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing a plus.
  • Visual Basic / C# .net programming experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage all aspects of production test development.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive production test capacity improvement through test time reduction and test expansion.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize test data to drive improvement.
  • Experience in new product development and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Experience developing manual and automated manufacturing tests at system, sub assembly and board level.
  • Experience with DFT for board level automated tests.
  • Experience driving DFM improvement into board designs.
  • Working knowledge of medical device FDA QSR's, ISO13485 and IEC-60601 requirements.
  • Database experience is a plus.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actualcompensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is $110k - $140k.
