Position Summary: Coach and coordinate activities for a team of employees engaged in upholstery while constantly emphasizing QUALITY, EFFICIENCY, and SAFETY. Must have great attention to detail and be a team player.

Position Responsibilities: · Constantly monitor and observe the production flow to ensure quality standards and production standards are being met. Track issues and be able to effectively communicate those to the Production Manager on a daily basis.

• Conduct employee reviews, corrective actions, attendance reports, and other employee related issues as needed. · Coordinate the flow of priority schedules.
• Must be able to adapt to changes that may occur and create or carry out a preset schedules accordingly.
• Monitor employee progress throughout orientation periods, directing and coaching them in all aspects of quality, efficiency and safety.
• Works closely with HR department to make sure any departmental/job title changes are communicated.
• Monitors all work stations for neat and orderly appearance.
• Performs other duties as required by Production Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Be an effective communicator and skilled in interdepartmental employee relations.

. Must be knowledgeable in furniture manufacturing with ability to train new employees

• Must have exceptional communication skills to provide assistance and support to create environment that fosters motivation and development.
• Must be confidential in all matters.
• Must have the ability to enforce all company policies consistently.

Experience:

• Supervisory: 5 years plus (Required)
• Furniture: 5 years plus (Required)
• Upholstery: 5 years plus ( Required)
