We are looking for a compassionate and motivated team player who can take initiative and stay busy to assist with day-to-day operations at our thriving small animal AAHA-accredited practice. Ideal individuals will be courteous, hard-working with attention to detail, and will aid our team in providing excellent care and unique services to our area. Candidates must enjoy interacting with animals and people.
This position is responsible for general hospital cleaning such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, as well as hospital stocking (syringes, fluids, laundry, foods, etc), daily kennel care and husbandry of dogs and cats (walking, cleaning, feeding/medicating 3 times daily), checking in appointments for the veteriniarians, taking patient histories and vital signs, preparing vaccines, assisting technicians with surgery preparation, cleaning and maintenance, providing appropriate animal restraint, and maintaining electronic medical records. We prefer a candidate with familiarity with vaccine protocols, experience performing nail trims, how to administer injections, and educate clients on preventative products and medications as we strive to provide excellent client and patient care. Individuals without experience must demonstrate initiative and a drive to learn and educate themselves, and be open to training and constructive critiques as we aim to help you become the best assistant you can be.
