Position Responsibilities

• Developing and monitoring health plans for students.
• Treat students and staff as needed.
• Educate students and staff on health and wellness.
• Administer medications to students.
• Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred, will consider LPN
• BLS/CPR Certification

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work independently or with others.
• Knowledge of many areas of health.
• Ability to assess situations and act quickly
• Knowledge of state health regulations.
• Ensure compliance with national and local health laws.
• Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)

Salary: $26 - $35 depending on qualifications and experience
Contract: 7.5 hours per day, 188 School Days per year
School Safety Clearance: The successful candidate will be subject to a fingerprint and background check as a condition of employment. All fees require for this check (estimated $73) are the responsibility of the successful applicant.
