POSITION: Adult Education Teacher - Part Time (20 hours per week)

LOCATION: Miller Stone Building

Job Duties:

1. The instructor would work with a variety of Adult student (15-20 at a time) teaching skills necessary for the High School Equivalency test.
2. Provides individual, small group, and whole group instruction with adult students to acquire concepts for the High School Equivalency test.
3. Maintain accurate/confidential records.
4. Basic computer skills are required.
5. Evaluates student progress based observation, data collection,and current best practices.
6. Will work flexible hours between 2-7 pm up to 4 days a week dependant on student needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor"s degree in Education required.

2. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
3. 3 years teaching experience is preferred.
4. Meet Adult Education teaching requirments.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL)

Salary Range: $26.05 per hour
*Continuation of position beyond 2022-23 school year based on student enrollment and grant funding*
