The role involves managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based architectures to support a software development contract with over 100 developers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining operating systems, providing application support, integration, design, and assisting with additional duties as needed to support the team at various CONUS and OCONUS work sites. If you have experience building, documenting, and providing tier-3 engineering support, the team would like to hear from you.Responsibilities Include:Provide daily operational support for Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu) and applications.Maintain the integrity and security of systems by monitoring security feeds and dashboards in support of Continuous Monitoring activities.Monitor application and operating system performance; analyze, document, and remediate incidents.Help develop and maintain standards and procedures for applications across a complex computing infrastructure.Leverage scripting and system automation tools.Interact with developers and evaluate vendor products to assist their needs.Review incidents to understand the root causes and ensure the implementation of proper fixes.Minimum QualificationsActive US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and polyMinimum 5 years of experience configuring, designing, administrating, and maintaining Linux (Redhat and/or Centos) servers or workstationsExperience with virtualization environments such as VMWare ESXi, and vCenter serverDemonstrated experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and/or PuppetMinimum of 5 years experience with standard development tools including Git, Gitlab, and/or Github, Atlassian Jira, and ConfluenceUnderstanding of modern software languages and command line interfaceCommand of scripting languages such as Python and BashMust be willing to travel to CONUS & OCONUS work sites 50% of the timeNice if you Have:Linux System Administrator CertificationCertifications relating to IT Security (CISSP, GIAC, Security )Host clustering experience with High Availability, Distributed Resource Scheduler, and replicationKnowledge of network engineering fundamentals and network designExperience with building and maintaining environments running in Amazon Web Services (AWS).Active Top Secret security Clearance or higher to TS/SCI and polyClearance Requirement:Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and poly#LI-ZS1#LI-ONSITELooking for other great opportunities?
