Baton Rouge General Medical Center - Mid City is Hiring an Enterprise Architect Near Baton Rouge, LA

JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Responsible for the development and design of major and minor Web/ Mobile applications and components for internal and external users. The developer will design, develop, test and deliver web sites, mobile applications and components.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

JOB FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

1. Provides technical architecture support across the development spectrum

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Creates Technical Standards documentation for internal and external developers/contractors • Makes sure all parties adhere to Technical Standards. • Validate third parties for ability to perform technically based on Standards • Evaluate vendors’ third party integration capabilities to extend existing application infrastructure.

2. Demonstrates understanding of developing websites and/or web applications

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS • Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability • Ability to lead standard interface project composed of multiple team members. • Seamless integration of front- to back-end functionality. • Can develop HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, C##, graphics creation, WYSIWYG Editor/Workflow Products. • Practical exposure with some or all of the following: ASP.NET and C##, XML, Oracle, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, IIS, Mobile Development tool kits (ex. Apache Cordova, Appcelerator, Sencha Ext JS, Adobe build, Kony, etc.) Windows Server environments. • Ability to lead standard web/mobile development project composed of multiple team members.

3. Analyzes, evaluates, builds, and implements new and modified custom software applications with a focus on digital application.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Responsible for identifying, researching, and evaluating new software/hardware that will assist staff in efficiencies or new methodologies for performing work tasks while utilizing digital technologies. • Acts as a mentor to co-workers and provides leadership in various areas of digital expertise. • Defines and generates policies and procedures for computerization in the organization, while administering multiple tasks concurrently when needed. • Develops standards for customer satisfaction.

4. Provides technical expertise in evaluation of computer programs and applications; and supports implementation and maintenance of all Information Technology hardware.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Remain apprised of current and future releases of software development and the associated technologies. • Monitor and complete customer cases for such items as break/fix, requests for change, and service requests in a timely manner as dictated by customer support policies. • Maintain documentation related to the support of software applications

5. Performs all other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS • Understand customer business processes. • Provide on-call services and work off-shifts as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 2 to 7 years previous IT experience in Software Development, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Healthcare related field

SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in utilizing a Windows-based PC and standard office software such as MS Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Ability to think critically, assess input on system requests and develop possible solutions Proven strong written and verbal communication skills
