Pioneer Fibers, Inc. located in Elk Grove Village, IL has an opening for a Forklift Operator. The hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.

Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator will maneuver complex machinery, such as a baler for compacting recyclable materials and wheel loader for transporting large volumes of materials, ensuring efficient sorting. The skilled professional plays an important role in the operational efficiency of the plant.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Operate various times of machinery such as a baler, wheel loader, and skid steers
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment
  • Load and transport materials, ensuring stability and efficiency
  • Ability to enter and exit equipment frequently
  • Lift or move 35 to 50 pounds
  • Transport loads to other areas
  • Identify paper grades
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Perform pre and post vehicle inspection

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Current equipment certification
  • Complete and maintain required training and certification
  • Good eye/hand coordination
  • Pass drug screen and CRT physical

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two to three years of experience operating heavy equipment
