Job Summary:
All duties and responsibilities required for an Instructional Coach position at the elementary school level. This position will coach, collaborate, and coordinate with K-3 teachers assisting in the implementation of Science of Reading. This position will work collaboratively with administration and community partners to create a community-focused approach to early literacy with a goal of increasing IREAD-3 success for all students. This position will be a two-year position based on each school being a member of the Indiana Literacy Cadre (Cohort 3). Please see the attached list of requirements and responsibilities as outlined by the Indiana Literacy Cadre.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in elementary education, special education, or the equivalent required. Masters degree preferred.
Certification: Valid Indiana state teaching license in elementary education, special education, or the equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates who are pursuing a literacy endorsement.
Experience: At least five years of successful elementary teaching experience required with a preference in grades K-3, special education, or as an instructional coach. Preference will be given to candidates who have received Science of Reading training, Orton-Gillingham training, and/or are well-versed in Amplify CKLA.
