Bates White Economic Consulting is Hiring a Billing Analyst Near Washington, DC
- Follow established billing process to produce accurate and timely client proformas and invoices.
- Generate monthly and ad hoc proformas; work with Project Managers to process adjustments and generate final invoices for clients.
- Maintain project billing files.
- Responsible for new matter set up in the accounting system. Maintain timekeeper teams, billing rates and instructions, and other necessary matter information.
- Responsible for cash receipts and application in the finance system.
- Communicate with internal clients to ensure client bills meet requirements and facilitates timely collections.
- Assist Project Managers with ad hoc time and expense record inquiries and collection efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
- 2 years billing experience in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of accounting preferred.
- Experience working with ERP accounting systems.
- Ability to work successfully both individually and as a member of a team.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel advanced formulas, (e.g., vlookup and pivot tables).
- Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time, handle short deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- May require more than 40.0 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
