    Job Summary:
    Under the supervision of the Director of Finance and working collaboratively with the contracted IT consultant, this position will assist in the acquisition, support, operation and maintenance of the District’s information, telecommunication and computer network systems and provide technical support with regards to installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of all District computers and network hardware, software and peripherals.
    Essential Functions:
    • Maintains information, telecommunication and computer network systems which includes troubleshooting hardware issues, installing and replacing hardware. Installs and configures software; maintain records of all software license agreements.
    • Assists in maintaining network and IT system security.
    • Assists in evaluating and optimizing network or system performance.
    • Responds to and resolves IT help desk/support calls, emails or requests.
    • Provides users with technical support in a friendly and professional manner and educating users by answering questions concerning use and functionality of the technology used to support their role.
    • Maintains inventory and keeps track of all IT assets.
    • Assists with recovery plans in the event of an interruption of normal information system operations.
    • Sets up, modifies, and terminates employee email accounts and security credentials for all networked systems.
    • Serves as the point of contact and subject matter expert for all IT systems related projects with internal customers and outside vendors, including the coordination of contracted IT consultant.
    • Collaborates with departments to plan IT system related projects; communicates with vendors on the implementation of the project.
    • Assists with the development of goals and objectives of the District as related to IT systems and telecommunications systems.
    • Demostrates the District's CORE values.
    Education and Experience:
    This position requires an Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible related IT experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Certifications in A , Cisco and Microsoft preferred.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and problem solve.
    • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions and risk management procedures.
    • Ability to portray a professional image of the District.
    • General computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Proven ability in establishing priorities, time and project management
    • Demonstrates skill in oral and written communication skills, business operations and accounting.
    • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
    • Understands and anticipates customer’s needs as well as supports a customer service environment.
    Physical Demands/Work Environment:
    This position is required to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week along with participation in some activities, meetings and events. This job is performed in a typical office environment.
    This job is performed in a typical office environment. Requires full range of body motion including handling, lifting, and manual and finger dexterity. Requires frequent standing, bending and stooping for prolonged periods or sitting at a desk at a computer. Driving between facilities for meetings, trainings or events is also necessary. The employee must occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
    Hiring range is based on experience and qualifications: $45,000 - $55,000.
