    Job Summary:
    At the direction of the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Graphic Design and Media Specialist implements and supports the District’s brand image through digital, electronic, premiums and print media.

    Essential Functions:
    • Design and manage promotional materials for programs and special events for District, including recreation, parks, capital projects, the Depot Museum, Hall Quarry Beach and New Horizons Preschool.
    • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of strategic positioning, branding, and marketing for the District.
    • In coordination with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, and messaging and audience identification.
    • Design, generate, edit, publish and share daily content through social media that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
    • Analyze social media data/metrics to continuously improve all social media platforms.
    • Produce monthly social media reports for board meetings.
    • Maintain and optimize District pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the District’s social content and increase revenue.
    • Photograph, edit, and organize photos of District parks, programs, and events for social media channels as well as print materials.
    • Film, edit, and produce videos to showcase all areas of the District for internal and external projects.
    • Produce interior and exterior signage for the District's buildings, parks, Hall Quarry Beach, Depot Museum, and New Horizons Preschool.
    • Work with outside vendors, providing specifications for outside print projects.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator to discuss the layout of programs, advertisements, and photos for the brochure pages.
    • Assist with day-to-day functions of the Marketing Department by performing tasks that include, but are not limited to, attending meetings, assisting with the website, Lobby TV, and community calendar maintenance.
    • Responsible for the design and maintenance of internal materials and documents.
    • Collaborate with other departments and assist with their marketing needs.
    • Craft creative content and help optimize photos for District’s website.
    • Set up and manage paid advertisements and/or boosted posts for social media accounts.
    • Assist customer relations staff in the front offices, when necessary.
    • Coordinates content/copy acquisition as needed.
    • Write or edit copy for publications as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Perform all jobs and tasks within the guidelines and rules of District’s safety
    Education and Experience:
    This position requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or a related field and a minimum of one year of experience in digital media, design or marketing with demonstrated experience in graphic design.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Considerable knowledge in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and CMS for website.
    • Strong design skills and versatile portfolio.
    • Demonstrable social media managing experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
    • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and record keeping.
    • Knowledge of marketing strategies.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, which includes working effectively as a team player.
    • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience in filming, editing and producing videos.
    • Experience in photography and editing photos.
    • Considerable skill in analyzing issues and problem-solving.
    • Proven ability to network and build relationships.
    • Ability to portray a professional image of the District.
    Physical Demands/Work Environment:
    This job is performed in a typical office environment and requires frequent sitting and standing as well as occasional walking, climbing, balancing, reaching, lifting and/or carrying items up to 15 pounds, crouching, and kneeling.
    Anticipated Work Schedule: This is a non-exempt position. This position requires day shifts, occasional evenings, weekend hours and attendance to some activities and events.
    Salary: Starting pay $22.00 (Hourly) and/or DOQ
