Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mill Machine Operator to join our team. The Fabrication Machine Operator will play a critical role in our production process, responsible for operating and maintaining various fabrication machines to ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of parts and components.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Set up and prepare fabrication machines for operation, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and selecting appropriate tools and programs.
- Machine Operation: Operate fabrication machines such as CNC routers, laser cutters, press brakes, or shears to cut, shape, bend, or otherwise process materials according to engineering drawings, blueprints, or work orders.
- Quality Control: Monitor production output to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications, conducting visual inspections and using precision measuring instruments as necessary.
- Material Handling: Load and unload materials onto fabrication machines safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on fabrication machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor repairs as needed. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including job setup sheets, production logs, and quality inspection reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Turning the machine off and on and knowing how to reference machine.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Basic knowledge of how to load the various aluminum profiles into the machine.
- Basic knowledge of the different aluminum profile types.
- Properly read a tape measure to ensure accuracy on cut parts.
- Knowledge of basic controls of the interface, how to start / pause and stop the machine.
- Perform basic daily cleaning of the machine.
