Bastian Solutions is Hiring a Production Control Specialist Near Greenfield, IN
Job Duties
- Responsible for maintaining the production schedule by manufacturing operation (i.e. cut, fab, etc.).
- Responsible for updating and maintaining system level master planning data points (item coverages, default order settings, and item card data) to optimize system operations
- Own the process and methodology by which planned purchase and production orders are executed through ERP system (D365)
- Assist plant leadership and sales in Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) review and data maintenance to accurately forecast future capacity
- Review Production Plan and Material Status Reports for replacement parts to identify risks and escalate accordingly
- Communicate directly with purchasing with inventory discrepancy or past due purchase orders impacting customer shipments
- Verify inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production and work with procurement and sourcing to maintain vendor information, vendor part numbers and optimal order quantities through D365 for scheduling production.
- Responsible for populating and maintaining master planning data points at an item level to support planning runs and on time delivery.
- Assist in report generation of production data.
- Participate in continuous development of ERP integration processes through company’s application system
- Less than 5% travel (all travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
- 2 years of experience in production control/planning
- Skilled in Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel - must be able to create and maintain excel spreadsheets with formulas and production data
- Strong written and verbal skills. Must have strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Detail oriented approach to all work efforts
