Job Description
A Fabricator for Bastian Solutions will be responsible for general saw cutting and metal fabrication for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is saw cutting and layout work, other duties to include assembly and paint prep of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions shop equipment.
A Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by an individual print.
Job Functions:
- With guidance ability to build high quality fabricated parts from blueprints with low rejection rate
- With guidance works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate and bar stock
- Keep workspace in a neat and organized order
- Show mutual respect for coworkers
- Show up to work every day on time
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Overtime required when necessary
- Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Relevant fabrication shop experience preferred; 2 years of experience is required
- Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
- Team player, able to take direction
- Interpret and understand provided blueprints/schematics for materials/assemblies
- General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses
- Minimum GED or High School diploma
