POSITION SUMMARY:

The Produce Clerk will oversee the stock, appearance and freshness of the produce and fresh sections for Nature’s Wonders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Stocks produce and fresh items as they arrive.

• Sets produce and arrange in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

• Soaks and trims to maintain life and integrity of produce.

• Removes expired products and culls from inventory.

• Follow guidelines set by Produce Coordinator.

• Updates signage and pricing in front of produce.

• Keeps the walk-in cooler and produce back stock shelf clean and organized.

• Cleans produce cooler.

• Assists with cashier and barista duties.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.

• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular walking and standing

• Occasional lifting up to 50lbs

• Seldom to never computer work or sitting

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Retail/Grocery Store

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
